More Information

FLWBA was founded in 2006 as the 18th chapter of WBASNY. The Chapter's jurisdiction covers the counties of Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, and Yates.

A small but important chapter, FLWBA has influenced WBASNY policies and policy statements through the activities of our members on WBASNY's board and committees.

A PROUD MEMBER OF THE WOMEN'S BAR
ASSOCIATION OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK

FLWBA's purpose is to establish and direct policies and issue policy statements on issues of local significance, especially those relating to women lawyers and women in general, including families and children. We aim to bring such issues to the attention of WBASNY for further endorsement and action.

Our Chapter's mission is also to cooperate with, aid and support organizations and causes which advance the status and progress of women in society; to encourage the education of lawyers; to promote improvement in the administration of justice; to inform its members and disseminate information to them through such means as may be appropriate; and to participate in activities of WBASNY with respect to issues of statewide, national or international significance.
